Papua New Guinea Hits World Record in Christian Education

 A Christian School (Accelerated Christian Education) in Papua New Guinea has hit the World's Record in student enrolment. Institute of Christian Academy founder and Principal Tobias Nangu has brought a contigent of twenty three students including few teachers on an adventurous trip to the United States. Mr. Nangu, his staff and the students from the Institute of Christian Academy arrived in the States on May 14th, 2011.
It has been known that the students and staff of Institute of Christian Academy were here in the States for the World's Accelerated Christian Education Convention. They landed in Indianpolis, Indiana where PNG Families in Indiana headed by George Gidisa have welcomed them. The group seemed timid and confounded by the shining lights of the cities and shocking diversified western culture. However, the fear dripped off as the PNG friends and families welcomed them warmly with banners labelled "ICA - PNG Welcome to USA" raised by the Gidisa sisters, Georgina and Laila.
Without further delay the group headed out of Indianpolis after spending a night. They drove into Cincinnati, Ohio the next day and went into Creation Museum in Kentucky. The Inspiring display of the Biblical Creation has enlighten the history the students learn in the school. Flashes of lights from cameras sparkled the designs and images in the Museum as everyone enjoyed the scenario observing. They have a big story to tell they families and friends back home. The Creation Museum brings the Bible to live. Many visitors believe that there is a God. The Museum's pass has this phrase "Ready To Believe" and so anyone including non-christians who visit the Museum believe the Biblical fact.
The group enjoyed their trip and continued further to Pensylvania where they met some other PNG folks. Mr. Nangu had a privilege to enter the former campus where he attended school here in the States, Penview Bible Institute. After few handshacks, hucks and sharing of smiles with his former professors they proceed on their journey to make it to Virginia. The World's ACE Convention was hosted in Virginia. The students from Institute of Christian Academy took part in the week long convention there. The principal, Mr. Nangu and the staff of ICA with other friends from PNGINUSA were there giving morale support to the students to compete against the world.
Last weekend, June 4th the PNGINUSA friends and families gathered together for a farewell barbeque. As PNG tradition, a mumu was put up in Jamestown Indiana, at a location where an American friend has offered to use. The time there was enjoyable and so much fun was there. There was volleyball games and rugby touch. The male students enjoyed the four wheelers and motor cycles the American friend has freely offered for the group to enjoy. The American friend (John) and family and other American friends that attended had made the attendance flavor unique. The male students won't forget the experience of riding on these different motorcycles.
During the gathering/barbeque there was loop created for a little time of speech. George Gidisa as the Chairman of the gathering organization welcomed everyone (PNGINUSA) for coming and make the day a special for our fellow friends and families from PNG. Mr. Gidisa's main speech was " without God you cannot do anything". The gathering there at the farewell barbeque for the ICA -PNG was made possible by God. Even the ICA -PNG coming over to the States was according to God's will. "We should give thanks, praise and honor back to God", Mr. Gidisa said.
Mr. Tobias Nangu was pleased with the event and was seen with smiling face everywhere at the venue. In his speech during the farewell barbeque he thanked everyone for making his adventerous trip with the students enjoyable and memorable. He said, "Our trip was exciting and enjoyable. Although we did not win any awards in the convention but the students did well and took part in every activities and programmes the convention provided". The convention was World's ACE Convention. So many other countries around the world attended and participated. Mr. Tobias said,"among them was four countries in the South Pacific namely; PNG, Australia, Fiji and Philippines. Out of the ACE schools in the World, Institute of Christian Academy was declared the first largest ACE school. The uniforms was flamboyant with the logo of PNG Flag that gave a flavor". Mr. Tobias further elaborated that he expects to expand the student enrolment with another two hundred in the following year. However, his speech at the Convention was, this trip was a trial one as it was our first time; but he challlenged the other contenders that he will come prepared in 2013.
The PNGINUSA families and friends congratulated Mr. Nangu for taking the risk and the challenges to bring a contigent of such elites to compete with the world in the most worldly recognised super power nation. Those that appreciated Mr. Nangu's faithful mission were Wesley Miriye, Akera Akalanana, Bill Oki and Win Oki, Joel Sonny and others. Mr. Miriye said, "it was a unique thing for the PNG's future elites to come out for a convention like this. Although PNG has gone out into the world competition on sports and maybe other activities but leading a contigent of students this was first of its kind". The others also praised Mr. Nangu for taking the initiative to bring the students out so they can experience the world and perhaps the challenges they obtain may be helpful in their studies. Additional speech was to the students to go back and study hard and do your best and you can be what you want to be through this ACE school.
A matter of fact, Mr. Nangu will be remembered as a hero by these contigent of students that he has led to the World's
 Convention. Not just the students but the country, PNG will have to count on such act of bravity in the development of intellectuals. It has been suggested that if such leadership was found in the public sector whoever the leader is should be recognized for honorary or awards. The work of the Christian leaders in churches and schools and health also are just to serve the people and win the rewards and prizes in Heaven. However, Christian schools are an integral part to the education system of the country. The vibrant and honest leaders are raised in the Christian schools.
Institute of Christian Academy, typically an infamous school in PNG has raised the colorful flag in the world in a high class level. The group will depart the States on Thursday, June 09, 2011 and maybe arrive PNG on Sunday. It was all a joy to have them all but sad to leave them all. It has been such a wonderful experience for the students that they will never forget.

Heading towards the Biblical Era of Sodom and Gomorrah here in the United States

The Bible describes "Sexual Immorality" sex outside of marriage as the worst wickedly wicked sin ever committed. God indeed not forbid sex; however, God ordained sex within marriage and blessed the bond between a man and a woman. This relationship of marriage was designed to reproduce its kind and so they would replenish and subdue the earth. It's actually a cycle of life that I believe God anticipated.
In the beginning when God created man God did not create another man, but He created a woman out of the man. It was God's plan that a man should be in union with a woman through a covenant of relationship in marriage. Therefore, God created a companion that would perfectly suit the needs of the man. I believe God was pleased with this companionship between the man and the woman.
It's in the early 20th century that devil has lured the lives of people in the United States according to research. Lust has driven the lives of people far more worst than ever. The so called "Same Sex Marriage" Gay Rights has flushed across the States with many legalizing it and few States banned. I am not looking at other forms of sexual immorality as phorn, molesting, abduction, etc as these are prevalent globally. Nevertheless, same sex marriage is legalized in parts of Europe and South America but here in the United States is the stage of a wild burning fire. Just recently New York has legalized gay marriage.
As reported through the media throughout the world, Govenor of New York Andrew Cuomo has signed the law of same sex marriage on June 24, 2011. The Gov. said it is the way to go pertaining same sex marriage. He and others who voted for the rights of gay marriage assume that it's everybody's rights that gay couple be wedded as an ordinary and God ordained marriage. The governor further legalized divorce between same sex marriage. A single Democrate stood out to be an advocate for the practice of Biblical righteousness. Senator Ruben Diaz is a Pentecostal minister has voted against the amendment. Oh Lord, may God help us to understand rights according to the Bible. I am afraid which pastor or minister of a church that proclaims or preaches the Bible will take the first step to contradict the Bible and his faith by formally wedding a gay couple.
The Bishop of New York wasn't in favor of the law as he referred the law as aginst the Bible. I guess he suggested it is a demeanor to the moral and spiritual values or rights. However, so sadly but also foolishly in favor of the same sex marriage was the Mayor of New York. The Mayor, Micahel Bloomberg exploded out as in triumphant of worthy rights that he's been advocating for gay marriage and lobbied for it to be legalized. Hundreds of lustful people that waited eagerly for the bill to be signed uproared "Yes" that's what we want. We've waited long for this and it's our rights and we deserve it.
After thirty days (30) of the signing of the amendment the gays and lesbians will have their wedding. It was said that a student aged 36, who was among the expectants outside the stonewall of Albany shouted "I wanna get married" and aggressively blew the burning air out of the mouth. I am optymistic that such people are psychologically pathetic. Educated fools are the most weird people that need frequent psychological attention.
It's not Biblical here but the lust of the flesh. This is a country built on Biblical principles and therefore was successful in its growth. Religious people have uphold this nation through their prayers and dedication of worship to the Living God Almighty. Obviously what is perceived all around the country is a blessing from God. Many may claim that these cahnges in development of industries, technologies, inspiring leadership in global politics, military, etc are the results of their intellectuals. Sure indeed, its the effect of effecient implementation of intellectuals. However, the bottom line is God alone that brings success in all of our lives.
There are thirty nine (39) States that banned the gay marriage. The rest that legalized it are Connecticut, Iowa, Massechusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and the District of Columbia have allowed same sex marriage while Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, and New Jersey have approved Civil Union. The first State to legalize same marriage was Massachusetts and others followed. However, California is going to a Supreme Court battle pertaining gay marriage. I suppose a federal Judge is pursuing for the gay rights as it was overthrown by a National Judge earlier on.
Now my question is; Where in the world are we heading with this amendment in laws that will lead to a total chaotic lifestyle? This is a total revolution in life as many may suggest, but whic side of the revolution is that should be another question. We ought to cry out for a revolution in our hearts that we may know what is absolute and deny evil. The revolution expected here is total chaos as we've witnessed the 9/11 attack. Allowing such wicked practices God is not in favor of destructions are vulnarable as according to the Bible. The devil comes to steal and destroy, the Bible says. The revolution here shall mean allowing wicked practices in a Christian Nation. I shall assume here that demonishing the societies may befall afterwards as in the past. A lot of Americans pin point on countries that practice carnibalism but they cover their backyard. Carnibalism was also practiced here in United States according to history. Maybe I am deluded with confusion as to what in the world is the revolution that many people are assuming.
Refering back to the history of Sodom and Gormorrah. The people of Sodom, of all ages attcked Lot in Genesis 19 with their hearts full of filthy lust. The attack on Lot was so aggressive because of the drive of homosexual lust. We see that Lot was generous to offer his beautiful daughters to uphold rights in God's sight but the people cried out "No" that they wanted the two men visitors. Indeed the Bible says these two men were angels. As a result of the sinful desire the Lord struck the place with brimestone and fire and totally destroyed both Sodom and Gomorrah after saving the family of Lot.
As I read through this text (Genesis 19) it didn't say that the lust was performed but yet God destroyed the land, people and properties into ashes. The Bible says in Mathew 5:28, pharaprase that; if you look into a woman's eye and lust after her you already have committed adultery. So shall we say Sodom and Gomorrah should not have been destroyed or shall we say the destruction was the result of their sin? The Bible says sin is the disobedience of the word of God.
I am absolutely in fear of such destruction on US as many States are legalizing the gay marriage. Down the street on Josephine here in Cincinnati I have sighted a couple hugging and kissing. I expected them to be heterosexual couple because they had a small dog with its chain in one of theri hands. I've observed that it is traditional for couple to walk their dog with them during their evening stress on walks on the streets. Although both couple had long jeans I anticipated to meet a heterosexual couple as long jeans even pants are traditional dressing in the United States both both gender. However, all my judgment on them turned out to be wrong as these were a gay couple. My goodness sake, these were two handsome guys hugging and kissing each other. I saw other gay couple shopping together with one in the dress code of a female which was obvious to identify, but this was really shocking and so scared.
As many States in US are legalizing gay rights we are adding the brimestone and fire. I am terrified that not long God will destroy this place. Who know what God's going to apply to discipline his people. Many places that rebelled against God have been destroyed with destructive natural disasters. God has been so gracious with United States and has blessed so richly but the people's hearts a led astray by the wicked desires. Will God be in love with such wicked practices in America? Will God still refrain his wrath on United States when he did not spare Sodom and Gomorrah? I am optimistic that we obviously are calling for the wrath of God on us. We should not be making our way in the lifestyle of Sodom and Gomorrah. May God help us to know what is right and live according to the principles of truth. I really need some challenges, that I may fear God always!
So many national assetts have the scriptures imprinted notably as per national emblem. "In God we trust" printed on all forms of currency from coins to notes maybe as legal tender. The Chief Justice has the "Ten Commandments" prestigiously carved and emblemed on a plate is place right over his head on his seat. What message are we airing to God? God loves this country and wants to bless it more because of the work of missions that this country has produced to send out into the world to bring the lost to Christ, yes, and this is still continuing as God wants to save more souls to inherit the place (Heaven) He has prepared.
People which direction are we heading? May God be with his people!!

Historic, Strongly Biblical Founded College

God's Bible School & College established since the 1900. God has touched a man named Martin Wells Knapp back then to start a Missionary Training School to spread the Gospel out to the world. God led the Knapp family to this Hilltop of Mt. Adams looking down downtown Cincinnati to establish this historic school.
Back then was time of Chariots and wagons. I've read in articles and seen pictures of a single engine plane was owned and used by this school. However, along the way a thief stole the plane away and was never retrieved.
I believe the devil knew of the work that was progressing with the help from the Mighty God himself. Devil probably decided if this plane is gone the progress of this great ministry would stop and God's work would not expand around the world.
The devil never wins, and so the school grew and reached out into the uttermost parts of the world saving and radically changing lives of thousands of people around the world. The school still stood upright and going on fire for the Lord. This

school has trained thousands of servants of God and sent into the world preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, heart purity and second work of grace "Entire Sanctification". What God initiates no one stops the progress of it, not even the devil has power to stop what God wants to do. God initiated it and the work of God is still on fire and reaching out to souls within USA and abroad. This school has a strong Biblical foundation based on John Wesley's style and way of life "Wesleyan Doctrine". It is conservative Holiness, souls washed by the Blood of the Lamb that was slain. This College now has produced Missionaries, Preachers, Christian Teachers, Christian Musicians and Children's Ministry Workers to spread the work of God.
The Current Administrative hierarchy of the College includes president Michael Avery, Student Affairs Mr. Richard Miles, Academics Dr. Ken farmer, ADEP Dr. Mark Bird and Financial Controler David Frederick with Pr. Tom Butcher as the head of Campus Administration.

President Avery, picture on the right is an amazing and talented leader and an inspirational man of God. Speaks in the Chapel most times with Campus Pastor Mark Cravens. The spiritual affairs of the studenst lives is their key areas of interest among other significant administrative and leadership roles of the College. These men are genuine images of servanthoods, a carring father, modeling Christian and are out spoken speakers of the Holiness Movements of America.                

The Division of the College and Chairs includes, Ministerial Dr. Allan Brown, Missions Dr. Dan Glick, Teacher Education Dr. Marcia Davis, Music Ministry Dr. Jana Pop and General Studies Mr. Aaron Profitt.

This College has provided on campus jobs for financially disable students to cater for their food and lodging. A handful of students both national and internationals participate in a variety of on campus work programs. These on campus work programs are looking at the areas of Maintenance Crew, House Keeping, Grounds, Security Guards, Kitchen Crew and Office Assistance for staff and faculty. Students are committed to these areas of work each day.

The College offers different number of Scholarship Programs to disadvantage students. One of these includes the Wingrove Tailor Scholarship Program for the International Students. These Scholarship programs are sought through the office of Student Admission Officer Steven Buckland current.

I've worked as Security Guard on campus for four years and still working for my fifth year, 2011. My normal duty as been the third shift ever since. I stand out in the cold and fight the chilly weather especially during the winter snow. I've learned to adapt to it though. I've experienced a lot of things working. Caught a thief and handed over to the Police once. Chased away several intruders at the campus. I've encounterd challenges trying to keep a good watch over the school properties. Thank God, with the help of God I've managed to lead a good public relation in all my encounters. Public relations has been the main focus of our boss and student affairs vice president Mr. Richard Miles. It has become hard with classes because I've got to attend classes in the morning after I get off work at 7am. However, I'll praise God for His guidance and knowledge to endure all these encounters. Things work better for the good of them that trust in the Lord. God has been my provider, refuge, healer and my Savior. I've failed God many at times, but again He has been so faithful to me. God has proven this in my life so many times. I tell myself always that, there is nothing better to do then to serve God!

 The students often go out to play, like boys to play football at University of Cincinnati Bear Cat's Field. Had a great and also a tough game this weekend in the snow. I can feel the aches in my body still now. This one standing on the left is Clifford geared up to head into the field to play.

I am here on the right with my buddies after we got done playing. We were about to leave with a lot of body aches from the game. It was really physical and tough. Couple of our guys got hurt. However, it was a lot of fun playing in the snow as you can see the field is still covered with snow. Sometimes the whole school go out on picnic. That use to be a lot of fun too. Many different games used to be played. The staff and faculty also participate in few of these games to bring some flavor in the picnic. There are always barbeque done for the students and the campus family to enjoy. The student council helps provide the food together with the school administration. I guess the College picnics used to be held once a semester. We love it because it brings relief to our minds from the many school work. Most students stay up late nights to get their home works and readings done. You know, that is required for

college students. Nice for the breaks like this to refresh our minds.  I love this school with my heart.

The map of the world locates countries in the world. Papua New Guinea is an island country located in the South Pacific that speaks more than 750+ dialects. The common national language of communication is called Tok Pisin/Pidgin as most call. The country has diverse cultural heritage that attracts tourists. About 75% of the population livehood is depended upon subsistence farming.

The colors of the flag are famous colors of the country. The yellow image is the country's famous bird called "Bird of Paradise" that you'll find five to seven species only in PNG. The stars represents the famous Southern Cross.

Papua New Guinea is a country that you can experience a lot of things through your anticipation and also unexpected. Mostly you'll be surprized greatly by the diversity of cultures in each provinces from the Highlands to the Coastal lands of the country.


The country's pride of image is the Bird of Paradise. It's the nation's emblem engraved on all the legal tendered currency both on coinages and notes bills.

Living In Christ

Religion

The general idea of religion is to have a Master possess you which would obviously be seen as gods or goddesses. There are thousands of religions in the world today that individuals have chosen to serve their Master under. Religions are found in a family, a tribe, in regions, etc which they come together in unity to worship the god they chose to serve either secretly or publicly.

The most largest religions in the world would include; Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity and Atheism. Animism would fall into this category, but I have a feel that it is dying out as Christianity is reaching out into the places that have practiced animistic worship. For instance, Papua New Guinea. Cargo Cult is also seen a wide spread religion globally but minority group of people still practicing it. Out of the major religions Christianity is the largest religion in the world today. Christian religions in the world yet knowing the truth, but they practice worships outside of the (Bible) book that the faith is founded on. Therefore, not all Christian denominations are Bible oriented faith builders but distinct doctrines in their denominations base their faith on the doctrines as a path leading to the eternal destiny.

Other religions are contrary to Christianity and don't believe in the Bible. However, I wish to challenge the Christians, what really does Christianity means? Is it just a religion? Christianity and or Christian is a word derived from Christ. Therefore, Christianity would definitely mean "Christlike" living like Christ lived. Jesus lived without compromising with the world, but He displayed a humble and loving character. Jesus loved everyone regardless of their status, nationality, culture and race. One significant and unique status Christ had "He hated Sin" He refrained from sin although He was tempted. (Mathew 4:1-11). Jesus taught and preached on heart purity, "Happy are those who are pure in heart, they shall see the Lord" Matt. 5:8.

Christianity is a live lived in Christ. It is a live radically abstaining self from what the Bible commands not to do. Living a renewed life that is transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Apostle Paul, a chosen servant of God has urged us to live our lives as Christ lived. Romans 12: 1-2, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. ² Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will".
I get challenged about how people desperately disobey the scripture and claim themselves Christians. I personally do that myself too, but my hearts desire has been to yield my life to Christ and live obediently unto God. I don't want to willfully disobey God this time but yield myself to God by drawing closer to Him and set my desires and wishes on things that are above. King David's prayer is my prayer today "search me or Lord and try me, see if there is any wicked ways, thoughts and desires in me and blot them all out and lead me to the light and lead me in the paths of righteousness". Romans 12:1&2 is my scripture now. I believe this is what God wants from us all as Christians, and this is living in Christ. We ought to live a life that is radically changed from our past, its not religion but Christ!
Some people do define the word "BIBLE" as Basic Information Before Leaving Earth" and I love that. This a wonderful way of defining it but people still don't understand it. One specific example that people don't take the Bible as a standard information to live the life Christ lived and God wants us to live is modesty; but this has been seen in confusion or deliberately disobeying the scripture. The Bible says, men shall not wear women's clothes and women shall not do likewise. Let's get things in order and live according to the Book of Basic Information.
To sum up, I believe all that said depends on your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This brings down to " Heart Purity" changed in the heart and doing the things correctly what the Bible teaches.

This picture was taken in our College Chapel, Spring 2011, Mid Winter Revival. Rev. Timothy Keep was the preacher. Rev. Keep was a Missionary to the Philippines for (13) thirteen years. He preached on Beseting Sin found in Hebrews 12: 1. Many of the students found help from the

 Holy Spirit in this revival meeting. This was an amazing revival service, a man of God who lowely speaks and speaks right on points according to the scriptures.   

In this picture (far top) is my buddy (Josh Atkinson) and I. These two other (bottom) Christian brothers in Christ are Ben Agu  and Daniel Kilgore from New York. Friends are friends for ever so long as we are bonded together by the blood of the Lamb. Many of us got help from this Mid-Winter Revival. God's been working greatly in the hearts of the College Students, including Staff and Faculty. The last message on Friday Morning was on conditioning our spiritual walk with God. In addition he connected the sermon with Fasting. Fasting is a way of conditioning our lives towards spiritual aspects. In his experience, people outside USA fast and pray. Pastors fast and pray over the sermon but people in the States do "Dieting".  Dieting is for physical conditioning and 'Fasting' is to get connected with God.

iLife that is surrendered to Christ is the sweetest life ever. There will be needs, problems and struggles in life but the good news is that you are in the hands of the Almighty God. HE cares for you. Amen! Some times we fail God but God still loves us and forgives us of our sins when we take them under the feet of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.Matt. 26:41. We fail God because of our weakness of praying. Jesus spoke to HIS disciples to watch and pray with HIM so that they may not enter into temptations. Prayer is the power to give us strength in our weakness. When we keep up with our prayers and submit ourselves to God everyday we sense the presence of God in our lives. When the presence of God is felt in our hearts, minds and souls life in Christ becomes sweeter. If we are not keeping up with our prayers we will become lukewarm as the Bible says in Revelation 3:16. The Spirit truely is willing but the flesh is weak. LORD help me in this area so I maintain my prayer life and Bible reading, otherwise I will be spued out in the last days.
